CSS - Donkey

Is it? What is this? A disco-ball donkey head in the middle of some sort of forest? Did you really want that to be the cover of your follow-up? Are you trying to be funny or ironic? Why "donkey" anyway? Is it because I just don't understand Brazilian humour? Epic fail. Donkey came out July 21, 2008 on Sub-Pop.

Antony and The Johnsons - The Crying Light

So this album cover from Antony & The Johnsons' "The Crying Light". It's a photograph of Kazuo Ohno, a butoh dancer from the 70's. Here's Antony's quote from the press release: ""The Crying Light is dedicated to the great dancer Kazuo Ohno. In performance I watched him cast a circle of light upon the stage, and step into that circle, and reveal the dreams and reveries of his heart. He seemed to dance in the eye of something mysterious and creative; with every gesture he embodied the child and the feminine divine. He's kind of like my art parent."

Anyway, I don't really like Antony's voice, and this photo isn't that great on a number of levels. The album was released on January 19, 2009 via Secretly Canadian.

Amon Tobin - Taxidermia EP

Amon Tobin and I both share a last name. So I've always been a supporter of his. However I do not support this cringe-worthy album cover! This is apparently a soundtrack for the movie "Taxidermia". It's availability is download only. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell you why this cover probably makes every male cringe a little bit. And what is with his facial expression? And the location? I don't get it, I don't really want it.
